BALLET + CONTEMPORARY D A N C E T R A I N I N G

Elevated Forms is designed for dancers of all ages looking for pre-professional training. It consists of in-home or in-studio classes focused on building a strong well-rounded dancer that is ready to enter the commercial or concert professional dance communities. In each session dancers start with exercises tailored to the specific individual’s needs, followed by ballet technique (work in contemporary, jazz, and acrobatic movement can also be included). The flow of each class is designed for each student to fit their individual needs and goals. Dancers are able to work towards completing exams with internationally recognized dance organizations such as American Ballet Theatre and Acrobatic Arts. Beyond working on dance technique, students will receive coaching on the various routes for professional dancers (including college and pre-professional training programs), injury prevention (Sugar Foot Therapy), and invaluable mentorship.

Elevated Forms is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Pre-Primary through Level 7 and Partnering will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher, Alexandra Roumanis, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 7 and Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

TRAINING OPTIONS

  1. WEEKLY TECHNIQUE TRAINING
Meet weekly or every other week regularly focusing on improving your overall dance technique. Great for dancers and movers looking for more focused instruction to achieve more difficult skills including turns, jumps, acrobatics, and pointe in addition to their regular class schedule. This option also works for students needing a more flexible schedule for training.

  2. WEEKLY CROSS TRAINING FOR INJURY PREVENTION, STRENGTH + FLEXIBILITY
Meet weekly or every other week regularly to focus on strength and injury prevention. We will focus on PBT, Sugarfoot Therapy and Pilates exercises. Great for dancers looking to cross train or who are dealing with injuries. This route is also great for the dancer looking to go on pointe. These sessions will lay the groundwork to build a strong and healthy body that is prepared for their regular class, rehearsal, and performance schedule.

  3. SOLO, DUO, TRIO CHOREOGRAPHY CREATION OR FEEDBACK AND COACHING
Are you looking to participate in cometitions like Youth America Grand Prix? Alexandra can work with you to coach you through your classical choreography and provide feedback to help you succeed on stage. She is also available to set original contemporary, ballet or jazz/lyrical choreography for competition and other performance opportunities.

  4. ONE WEEK INTENSIVE
Meet for an intensive week of regular sessions focused on developing a strong practice for dancers to continue on their own. This is great for dancers looking for training during their off-season and dancers who are great self-starters looking for guidance and material to apply on their own. Intensives can include ballet, pointe, pre-pointe, variations, partnering, contemporary, contemporary partnering, strength training (Pilates, Progressing Ballet Technique, Sugarfoot Therapy) and choreography.

  5. SINGLE SESSION | MASTER CLASS

Meet for a single session. This is for dancers looking to work on one specific skill or issue in a shorter period of time or are interested in the occassional private lesson.

  6. IN-STUDIO OR VIRTUAL WORKSHOP
Bring Alexandra Roumanis and the Elevated Forms method to your studio for a weekend, multi-day, or one day workshop. We will spend time training together and building a home program that is directed towards accomplishing your studio’s goals. Dancers will leave with more knowledge and specific steps to train to become stronger athletes.

  7. PRIVATE GROUP TRAINING
Do you have a group of friends looking to improve their ballet technique, gain more acro skills, or do some strength and conditioning together? We can set up your own in-studio workshop, class, or intensive.
